Nature and Horticulture in Dover
As part of the Dover-Book and Tour project, we're delighted to be co-hosting this Dover Arts Development (DAD) walk and talk event at the visitor centre entitled 'Nature and Horticulture in Dover'.
- Booking advisable
- Free event
The event starts with a short (~30 min) species identification walk hosted by Mel Wrigley, White Cliffs' resident ecologist. The walk will start and end at the National Trust White Cliffs of Dover visitor centre and will be followed by a presentation in the visitor centre by the celebrated artist and writer Simon Bill about his latest book, 'Dover'. The book is a compelling mix of memoir, travelogue, and cultural commentary that delves into the town and its surroundings in 12 essays. The event is free to attend, but booking is required - please book your ticket using the DAD Eventbrite link below. Parking charges apply up to 5.00 pm for those who are not National Trust members, or blue badge holders, after which parking for the event is free.
