Join storyteller Jessie McMeekin for a family focused story telling session around the fire at Allan Bank.

On dark winters’ evenings it was a Lakeland tradition to gather round the fire to tell ghost stories. Join storyteller Jessie for some spooky tales where you can join in with actions and sound effects, and use the ‘spook-o-meter’ to make sure you get just the right amount of spook! The stories will be suitable for children aged 5-10yrs. All children should be accompanied by an adult. Blue badge parking only on site. Paid parking in Grasmere village with walk up to Allan Bank. Visitors can be dropped off at the gate.

- What to bring and wear
Wrap up warm for the walk up from the village carparks to the house. A torch is useful as no lighting on driveway up to the house.

The storytelling will take place in the wheelchair accessible ground floor study. Pedestrian access and limited Blue Badge vehicle access only onsite. Accessible toilet. Visitors can be dropped off at the gate.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the event. No general parking available on site. Please use public pay and display car parks in Grasmere village and allow 10-15 minutes to walk up the hill from the village to the house.
