Community Dark Skies Night
To help celebrate the Ambleside and Grasmere Switch Off we will be opening Allan Bank for free between 8-10pm, for the local community to enjoy a true dark skies experience.
- Booking not needed
- Free event
Join us for a night outside under the dark skies - and if we are lucky, with the stars out as well! This year we are joined by an expert from the Eddington Astronomical Society in Kendal to guide us in the search for stars, distant galaxies and planets. You’re welcome to bring your own telescopes and binoculars.
This is a free drop in event. Please note if the weather is poor or cloudy the event will still go ahead.
Bring a torch for the walk up to the house.
