Notes to Plants
A small scale exhibition in the intimate setting of Coleridge's bedroom.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Artist Karen Davis will explore Allan Bank's historic relationship between text and plants with new work that responds to site and place, realised through her unique creative practice. Notes to Plants was first developed when Davis realised she spoke more kindly to her plants than to herself. Initially conceived as a lockdown Instagram project, Notes to Plants for 2026 will use the unique setting of Allan Bank as new inspiration. The work has been commissioned by ArtLab Contemporary Print Studio at the University of Lancashire (ULan) to develop new works in response to 'Women in Print'.
