Join ranger Chris for a walk and talk through Formby’s protected dunes. Along the way you’ll discover more about the conservation work we are doing to help this special habitat thrive and find out more about all the wonderful wildlife that call the dunes home.

Children must be accompanied at all times.
- Meeting point
We’ll meet at Lifeboat Road car park, Bay 1 (the first bay on the left as you pass the portable toilets). You’ll find us by the large information map board, close to the bins.
- What to bring and wear
Weather appropriate clothing, sun cream and a hat recommended. No sandals or open toe shoes, sturdy shoes are a must. Bring refreshments.
- Accessibility
The walk is suitable for people of all ages, but please note that the dunes are uneven and over undulating ground. Unfortunately, access to the dunes is inaccessible for wheelchair users and prams.
- Other
There are 15 places available for this event. Booking is essential and tickets are free, but normal car parking charges apply. Parking is free for National Trust members and Blue Badge holders. To increase your chances of spotting wildlife during the walk please leave your dogs to chill at home.
