Join Chapterhouse Theatre Company as they bring the windswept moorland of Brontë’s masterpiece to life here in the grounds of Rufford Old Hall.

Young governess Jane Eyre arrives at the mysterious Thornfield Hall deep in the Yorkshire Moors and meets her enigmatic new employer Mr Rochester. Sparks fly between the pair, but when a terrifying secret from the past returns to haunt them, can Jane and Rochester’s passion survive the forces that might tear them apart forever?

Meeting point

From the car park, make your way to the Beech Walk Paddock where the performance will take place.

What to bring and wear

Bring low backed chairs or blankets as seating is not provided. As the sun sets it can get cold, so layers of clothes are advised. Feel free to bring a picnic.

Accessibility

Performance and seating area is on grass and will go ahead in all weathers, so please come prepared if required. Please note that access to the Beech Walk Paddock is via a large cobbled area.

Other

Prior to the performance, there will be an opportunity to purchase food from the tea-room. During the interval the tearoom will be open for refreshments, cakes, hot/cold drinks, crisps and ice cream. If you prefer, please feel free to bring a picnic.
