Take part in Common Ground — this year’s nature-inspired community arts programme, inspired by the garden and hand-carved wooden interiors of 575 Wandsworth Road. Each month, we host free artist-led workshops at Battersea Arts Centre for local residents to engage creatively with nature on their doorstep. Join our free workshop and create a zine inspired by our relationship with nature with Elena from Craft Forward. A zine is a self-published work of original and/or appropriated texts and images. To celebrate Big Green Weeks theme: ‘Swaps’, we will be using repurposed magazines and materials to create small publications that reflect on our relationship with nature. Through prompts and creative techniques including collaging, drawing, writing, we will explore what nature means to us and how we explore it in our daily lives. Bring one (or more!) old magazines, papers, journals, newspapers to cut up!
Common Ground is part of 575 Ways to Create and Connect, a programme designed to spark creativity and connection across all ages. Whether you join for one session or many, you’ll find a welcoming space to create, connect, and grow.
