The Carlyles' House is open every Wednesday and all visits are by pre-booked timed entry only. Two weeks of tickets will be live at any one time, with new tickets released every Thursday.

The Carlyles' House features in the third series of BBC Two’s Hidden Treasures of the National Trust which goes behind the scenes and follows our teams at work. Discover more about some of our treasured objects, including a letter from William Makepeace Thackeray inviting the couple to tea with Charlotte Brontë and a camel hair coat from Persia that receives some repairs. From 16 May, watch the new series on iPlayer or tune in weekly on BBC Two.
