October Half Term: African Djembe Drumming for Ages 2-6, Tue 27

Discover the sounds and rhythms of the djembe in this playful, interactive drumming session for young children, inspired by animals, movement and African culture.

  • Booking essential

Celebrate Black History Month with Mangotree Kids in a lively and interactive djembe drumming workshop for children aged 2-6.

This year’s theme explores the importance of the djembe drum as a form of communication. Through an interactive story, children will discover how drums can be used to communicate while having fun exploring different rhythms, dancing and movement.

The session has an animal theme, with children invited to embody different animals through playful movement and drumming. Expect a colourful, energetic and engaging introduction to African drumming and culture, designed especially for young children.

We hope to hold the sessions outdoors at Morden Hall Park, with an indoor space available in case of bad weather.

Tickets: £10 per child £15 for a child and participating adult

Due to the limited number of drums, only adults who have purchased a participating adult ticket can join in with the drumming. Non-paying adults are welcome to attend but should sit to the side of the session.
