This Autumn, join us at Morden Hall Park for a magical morning of stories and creativity. In the second of our new Community Tales series, author Dr Michelle Yaa Asantewa shares the captivating story of Mami Wata, the African goddess of water.
Our volunteers will guide you in crafting a greetings card to take home, decorated colourfully with a mermaid, cowries and beautiful fish.
Through storytelling, rhythm, movement and simple activities and crafts, children and families will explore themes of nature, culture and belonging. These sessions are designed to celebrate our park as a shared space for all communities, where stories connect us to the land and to each other.
Sessions are suitable for children aged 3 and up. Children must be accompanied by one adult. Booking is essential.
