Celebrating all of us at Morden Hall Park, 1 Dec - 1 Jan, Kiln Room

Join us in celebrating our local community by helping us create a special art installation. Help us decorate our hand-crafted festive globe by bringing something unique that represents who you are, your story or your culture.

  • Free event

1 Dec - 1 Jan (except the 25 & 26 December when the Park is closed)

Starting a new tradition at Morden Hall Park! Help us create our first community symbol of hope and magic at this special time of year. We want to celebrate the roots, culture and uniqueness of all who visit this green oasis by creating a very special public art installation.

We want visitors to come to the park to bring an item that represents their culture or story, and hang it on our special festive globe. This might be an accessory you already have, a home-made decoration that is meaningful for you or just leave a message on a tag!

The festive period can feel alienating for those who don’t traditionally celebrate Christmas and this is an opportunity for all people to have a voice and feel included. This exhibition gives everyone an opportunity to join in the celebration of winter in their own way. An art installation for the community by the community, every token added will create an image of personal and collective stories, hope, celebration, and belonging.

Pop along to the Kiln Room in the Snuff Mill any time between 10am - 4pm to add your decoration.
