Dress up like a footman along the way (don’t forget to pad out your stockings to make your calves look bigger!), or try your hand at re-creating a Regency hairstyle, or put your culinary skills to the test and create your very own Georgian-inspired menu for the Child family.
This new immersive and playful exhibition brings the past to life and explores what it’s like to live, and work in the ‘Palace of Palaces’. Moving through the rooms, visitors will discover the upper and lower servants from 1787, not just their roles and status, but their names, clothes, and something of their day-to-day life.
'At Your Service’ is an installation for those looking to dive deeper into the history of the Georgian estate and a reminder of the unforgotten people who made Osterley the impressive place it was.
Open 11am-3.30pm Wednesday – Sunday with no need to pre book.
