West London Cycling Mela

Join us during Bike Week for the West London Cycling Mela, an afternoon of free to access cycling themed activities, performances and led rides. Featuring The Everyday Cyclist exhibition by Becky Mursell.

Activities include led rides from locations in local boroughs to Osterley Park, Dr Bike for free repairs, try a cargo bike, bike marking, performance by The Bicycle Ballet, activities by Outspoken Events including a scalectrix and smoothie making (by pedal power - charge for smoothie applies). The West London Cycling Mela is organised by the London Borough of Hounslow, and it is supported by the London Boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Richmond upon Thames. The National Trust is supporting the delivery of the West London Cycle Mela at Osterley Park & House.

Meeting point

Access to Osterley is via Jersey Road or Osterley Lane. See the link below for instructions on joining the Big Pedal to West London Cycling Mela at Osterley Park

What to bring and wear

Please wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing for outdoor areas.

Accessibility

There is a 2-3 minute cycle from the Jersey Road entrance to the Front Lawn where the event takes place. You can also access the park via Osterley Lane leading from Norwood Green. Bike parking is available by the Stables courtyard near the event, with some additional parking on the front lawn.

Smoothie making includes a charge for the smoothie.

With a passion for cycling, The Everyday Cyclist has been created by professional photographer Becky Mursell. These powerful portraits will be lining the railings of Osterley Park's lake in time to celebrate the West London Cycling Mela on 13 June.
