Heritage belongs in every climate conversation: Withstanding Change exhibition

See a new exhibition about the 'Withstanding Change' climate change heritage project on display in the Long Gallery.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

Heritage belongs in every climate conversation is a new international exhibition exploring how climate change is impacting heritage sites around the world based on the stories from the Withstanding Change project.

Delivered by the International National Trusts Organisation (INTO), the project brought together National Trust properties and global partners to share knowledge and experience across borders.

Blickling Estate is one of six National Trust places featured in the exhibition. As part of the project, Blickling has been twinned with Bayt al‑Razzaz, a historic house in Cairo and during the past few years, we’ve been learning from one another’s challenges and expertise. This story‑led, accessible exhibition showcases experiences from heritage sites across the UK, the Middle East and East Africa.

The ways heritage organisations and communities are collaborating internationally to respond to shared climate challenges

No prior knowledge of climate change or international heritage work is needed to explore the exhibition. Read and discover at your own pace, and scan the QR codes throughout the exhibition to delve deeper into specific stories.

Exhibition runs daily from 24 February to 15 March, the House is open 11am – 3pm, last entry 2.30pm. Standard admission prices apply; no booking required. Free for National Trust members.
