An external tour of Blickling Hall revealing some of the architectural fascinations of this grand house's 400 year history.

Join us for a walking tour outside the magnificent Blickling Hall, revealing some of the architectural fascinations of this red brick masterpiece at the heart of the Blickling Estate. Discover Tudor fragments of Anne Boleyn’s birthplace, a Jacobean façade with symbols of political power, a Georgian grand parlour created to house a giant tapestry, and a Victorian improvement sometimes described as ugly and institutional.
This external tour of the house is free as part of Heritage Open Days, including parking in the main visitor car park. Normal admission charges apply to the house and garden. Free for National Trust members.
The tour has a level access route on gravelled pathways.

Visit the welcome barn in the main visitor car park to collect your free parking pass, then meet outside the entrance to the house for the tour.

Wear suitable footwear and weather appropriate clothing as this tour is outdoors.

This tour has a level access route on gravelled pathways. Personal mobility scooters are available to hire, please contact the team to book in advance: 01263 738030.
- Other
The nearest facilities are in the east wing, along with the shop and Stables cafe. Only assistance dogs are able to join the tour as the route will take visitors into the garden. Entry to house and garden before or after the tour is subject to normal admission charges.
