Axe throwing with B Outdoors: Summer of Play at Crook Hall Gardens

Like the Vikings of Northumbria, choose your weapon and wield your axe. Practise technique, accuracy and strength, and whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned thrower, you’ll feel the rush of excitement as your axe lands with a satisfying thud.
Participants will be in small groups and take turns during the 30-minute timeslot.
Minimum age requirement 11+. Participants must dress according to the below requirements. All participants will be asked to sign a consent form at the start of the session.
Booking required, £3 per participant. Spectators and supervising adults do not need to purchase a ticket. Normal admission also applies.

- Meeting point
Make your way to the activity field at the back of the gardens to meet Andy from BOutdoors. Staff at admissions will help direct you.
- What to bring and wear
Please wear sturdy, closed-toe footwear and ensure that arms and legs are covered. Those not dressed suitably will be unable to take part, and we’re unable to offer refunds in this case.
- Accessibility
The event takes place on a grassy field. There is a sloped paved incline up to the field, and a grassy medium-decline down into the field. If you have any questions about accessibility and whether this activity would be suitable for you, please email crookhallgardens@nationaltrust.org.uk.
- Other
Axe throwing will take place a 10-minute walk from the main entrance. Participants must meet at the session area at least 10 minutes before their session start time. Under 18s must be supervised by a responsible adult. All participants will be asked to sign a consent form at the start of the session. We’re unable to offer refunds in any circumstances.
