Join a Gibside ranger for a 2 hour walk around Gibside. Hear about seasonal nature and wildlife highlights, which could include plants, animals, insects, fungi and more. You’ll also learn more about the conservation work that the rangers do at Gibside and might even get to join in with a wildlife survey. These walks are adapted to the season and weather conditions on the day.
This event is aimed at adults, although interested older children are welcome. Free, booking recommended as spaces are limited. Normal admission applies.

Arrive at Visitor Reception on the day and the team will direct you to the start of the walk.
- What to bring and wear
Please wear sturdy waterproof footwear and dress for the weather.
- Accessibility
The walk will take approximately 2 hours, but participants are free to leave early. The walk will feature uneven, mixed terrain so may not be suitable for wheelchair or Tramper users. For more specific access information, please email gibside@nationaltrust.org.uk.
