Enjoy a fairy tale Christmas at Ormesby Hall

Get into the festive spirit with Christmas lights, decorations, and seasonal treats at Ormesby Hall. Below are the key events taking places this winter during November and December!
Oh Yes It Is ... A Fairytale Christmas
The decorated hall is open every from 10.30am Friday - Monday, from Friday 28 November until Monday 22 December. Last entry to the house is at 2.45pm, with the house closing at 3.30pm. The café and grounds are open until 4pm.
The scene is set for a fairy tale themed Christmas at Ormesby Hall. The rooms will be adorned with sparkling lights, fairy tale inspired decorations and the fresh sweet smell of winter foliage from the garden.
From the moment you arrive you will enter a fairy tale atmosphere in the house, with Christmas trees and decorations from some of the most beloved fairy tales, such as Hansel and Gretel, Snow White and Cinderella.
On selected dates, children will be able to enjoy storytelling by Mrs Christmas and outside families will be able to explore a winter trail around the gardens.
In the stables there will be Christmas crafts available that children can do and take home with them. These are an additional £1.50 per pack.
On each Saturday that Ormesby Hall is open for Christmas, we will have live festive music for you in the stables courtyard. Artists will be playing between noon and 2.30pm. This is included in normal admission.
Tasty seasonal food and hot drinks will be available from the café, open 10.30am – 4pm, with last orders at 3.30pm.
Normal admission applies to visit Ormesby Hall, house, garden and cafe. Please note, last entry into the house is at 2.45pm.

Festive Evenings
Experience a special Christmas evening with late night opening at Ormesby Hall on Friday 5 and Friday 12 December, 5pm - 8pm (last entry at 7.30pm).
Join us for a chance to explore the mansion house decorated for Christmas at night. There will be live festive music, Christmas storytelling, marshmallow toasting on the fire pit and mulled wine. Everything you need to get the family in the mood for Christmas in the lead up to the big day.
The café will be open, however the gardens will be closed. Normal admission applies to access this event.
Festive treats in the cafe
Enjoy seasonal food and hot drinks from the café (last orders at 3pm). There will be some festive treats to taste, from gingerbread biscuits, mince pie brownie, festive scones (cranberry) and orange, cranberry & almond cake

An admission ticket for the house and garden is needed to visit and enjoy the activities, with National Trust members and under 5s free admission.
