Enjoy a fast-paced, 20-minute family storytelling performance celebrating the many lives of Sir John Vanbrugh. Created by Lucy Lill and Alys Torrance of Story Jam, this playful show invites audiences to explore Vanbrugh as playwright, architect, soldier and spy through comic chaos, costumes and audience participation. Perfect for children aged 7–11 and their families, history is brought to life with humour, imagination and a box full of hats - revealing the many sides of one remarkable character. Sessions take place on the West Wing Kitchen stage between 11am – 4pm.
Vanbrugh 300 is a year‑long festival honouring Vanbrugh’s life, legacy, and theatrical architectural vision. It is presented by The Georgian Group, with support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
