After Dark: The Witching Hour
See the Hall lit up and get spookier after dark in this theatrical take on local tales of witchcraft. Complete with scares, surprises, and ghostly effects, join an immersive walk with soundscapes, performances and a ‘tricky’ challenge.

Explore the myths, legends, and folklore of the witches of the North East through the Basement, West Wing and Stables, including the tale of Lord Delaval and his attempted capture of the ‘Witch of Wallsend’. Complete your ‘tricky’ challenge before earning a marshmallow toasting ‘treat’.
Continue your evening with some after-hours exploration of the formal gardens and Central Hall where you could even encounter the hall’s resident bats! Make a night of it with drinks and a live set from DJ Medusa and the Stone Cold Classics at the Brewhouse Café afterparty.
Guided element approximately 50 minutes plus free time to discover the weeping ash tree, Entrance Hall and Saloon in a different light. Who knows, maybe the bats will even come out to play!
