Step into a summer of fun, theatricality, drama and mischief at Seaton Delaval Hall. Inspired by the Delavals’ Georgian love of spectacle and surprise, expect pop-up activities and playful moments across the site all summer long. Get stuck into high-energy play zones, with sporty challenges, races and games to get everyone moving. Clamber over the hay bale scramble, test your balance and enjoy energetic, active play.

Family-friendly things to do in the grounds

Seaton Delaval Hall was once home to a generation of residents known as the 'Gay Delavals', notorious 18th-century pranksters, who loved nothing more than to confuse their guests with mischief and trickery.  Their [in]famous playfulness has been reintroduced throughout the grounds, designed to show hints of the trickery and mischief for which its inhabitants were known.

Grab a bite for the whole family

When you’ve run off some energy it’s time to have a rest and recharge the batteries.
