Sonic Pond Dipping at Wallington
Have you ever wondered what noise creatures who live in water make? Join us to listen to invertebrates, amphibians, and even aquatic plants!
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Join us for a special experience to listen below the surface and capture the sounds of the ponds at Wallington.
Did you know that around 90% of pond sounds remain unknown to science so you might even capture sounds that have never been documented before!
The event is being led by David de la Haye, a musician and PhD researcher at Newcastle University. He uses sonic arts to help raise the cultural value of water, with a special interest in freshwater habitats.
