Meadow Walk with the Castle Ward Rangers

Join our rangers for a special guided walk through the rich and diverse meadows of the Temple Water area on Friday 5 July. Beginning at 2pm from the Farmyard, this 1–2 hour walk will take you through the vibrant landscapes of Robin’s Pond and Broadmeadow. Learn about the vital role meadows play in supporting wildlife and discover how we manage and protect these important habitats year-round. All age groups are welcome, and toilet facilities are available at the Farmyard.

Along the way, you’ll also explore the fascinating history of the Temple Water landscape and see a transect demonstration showing how we monitor plant species and habitat health. This is a wonderful chance to experience Castle Ward’s meadows at their summer best and ask questions directly to the team caring for them. Please dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
