The Garden of Hope

We are honoured to host The Garden of Hope at Gunby, from Monday 20 April to Saturday 9 May.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

This powerful public art installation raises awareness of mental health and suicide prevention, while offering space for reflection and hope. In 2024, 98 suicides were registered in Lincolnshire — represented here by 98 butterflies, each one honouring a life lost. Created and painted by members of the local community, the installation reminds us that suicide affects far more than one person, touching families, friends, and whole communities. The Garden of Hope invites us to pause, talk, and challenge stigma — and to remember that change and hope are possible. Created in memory of Evelyn Gibson (2007–2022), whose kindness continues to inspire conversations that matter.
