'In the Night' exhibition by Debra Baker
From Friday 6 September to Thursday 3 October take a look in Orchard Gallery for a new exhibition called 'In the Night' by Debra Baker.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
“In the Night” is Debra's first exhibition at Gunby. she has lived and worked in the countryside virtually all her life, literally surrounded by nature and wildlife. Whilst this has provided her with inspiration over the years, she had never truly attempted to capture it before. Inspiration further struck her as she stood beneath a huge clear and starry sky in the autumn of 2021 and could hear the calls of migratory birds as they arrived in the UK under the cover of darkness. Nature doesn’t necessarily sleep just because darkness arrives and the exhibition captures a sense of realism with the detailed paintings set against a simple starry backdrop.
