There’s plenty to discover across the weekend, with activities and experiences for the whole family to enjoy.
On Saturday, Lumo will be bringing Lightwaves to the community room for a creative family workshop, where you can get involved and create something inspired by the coast.
On Sunday, join us for a beach clean and help us care for this special stretch of coastline.
Discover more about the migrating birds that visit Sandilands with the Wings, Wonders & Wildlife trail, running throughout the weekend.
You can also explore the reserve on one of our guided walks at 11am, 1pm or 3pm, discovering more about how this landscape has been transformed and the wildlife that now calls it home.
The new Flyway Café will be open from 10am–4pm each day, serving a selection of refreshments – the perfect place to pause and enjoy the view.
Whether you’re joining us for a wander, a coffee, a creative activity or simply to experience Sandilands for yourself, we’d love you to be part of this special weekend as we celebrate a new chapter for this much-loved coastal landscape.

Lightwaves Creative Family Workshop
Inspired by birds and murmuration, design your own creation in a family-friendly workshop with Lumo Workshop. Your designs will become part of a light art installation, premiered at Lightwaves Sandilands on Saturday 17 October.
