The Inner Ward Makers
In medieval castles, the inner ward of the castle was the most secure and important area inside the castle walls, skilled craftsmen like silversmiths and pottery makers played useful but slightly different roles.

To celebrate this, we’re delighted to welcome two talented local artisans, who will be showcasing and selling their beautifully crafted pottery and silver jewellery. It’s a real pleasure to host Ladybird Pottery and Bearsy and Bird, and we hope you enjoy seeing these traditional skills brought to life and still lovingly practised today.
