In medieval castles, the inner ward of the castle was the most secure and important area inside the castle walls, skilled craftsmen including pottery makers played useful but slightly different roles.

To celebrate this, we’re delighted to welcome talented local artisans, who will be showcasing and selling their beautifully crafted pottery. It’s a real pleasure to welcome Jo Towers from JET Ceramics, and we hope you enjoy seeing these traditional skills brought to life and still lovingly shown today.
