Our expert guide will lead you from the Basement to the Battlements, sharing the Castle's rich history. Discover secrets within the architecture, and be rewarded by breath-taking views from the top of the Great Tower.
Whether you're a history enthusiast or seeking a unique outing this tour offers a memorable experience for all, as well as opportunities for multi-sensory experiences and insight.
Tours are included in the standard admission price but tour numbers are limited; please check availability on arrival at our Visitor Reception. Additional donations to support the continued conservation work at the Castle are welcome.
We try our best to ensure all tours go ahead but they are occasionally subject to last minute changes or cancellation. Please give us a ring to check before making a special journey.
This tour includes climbing the 149 steps of the Great Tower, though not all at once! Drop us a line if you'd like more information or have special requirements. Alternatively, why not check dates for our regular 'Tour Without Steps'.
