Hands-On History: Spin & Create
We’re delighted to announce a hands-on heritage workshop at Tattershall Castle, where visitors can spin, braid and create, trying traditional crafts in a friendly, relaxed setting.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
We’re really pleased to be offering a programme of demonstrations and relaxed, hands-on workshops in the Parlour at Tattershall Castle.
Visitors can enjoy watching traditional spinning on a wheel, and also join in with informal ‘have a go’ sessions. You’ll be able to try lucet braiding—a fascinating historic cord‑making technique once worn at the waist—as well as hand spinning. All materials and equipment are provided, so you can simply come along and take part.
These activities are free to enjoy (donations are very welcome).
Normal admission applies—National Trust members and under 5s go free.
