Discover more about our unique textiles collection with a guided tour led by our conservation team. Chastleton is home to handstitched and woven textiles dating back to the 17th century, as well as more contemporary items.
You'll find out how we care for and preserve this special collection of textiles, and the challenges we face looking after them. You'll also get a chance to explore the storerooms and discover some of our costume not usually seen on display.

Front door of Chastleton House.
- What to bring and wear
Warm clothing as it can be a bit chilly in the house depending on the weather outside! Sensible shoes - no high heels.
- Accessibility
Entrance to the house is up 6 steep steps. The house has 12 flights of stairs going up 4 floors. The building is not accessible by wheelchair.
