Festival of Archaeology at Greys Court |18 to 27 July
Whether you’re an archaeological amateur or the next Indiana Jones, join us to discover more about the layered history of Greys Court.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Join us this summer as Greys Court once again takes part in the Festival of Archaeology, the UK’s largest celebration of archaeology, proudly organised by the Council for British Archaeology (CBA) and supported by the South Oxfordshire Archaeology Group.
Explore history in action as archaeologists excavate the oval lawn—visitors are welcome to chat with the team and witness discoveries as they happen. Don’t miss the live finds processing taking place in the historic Cromwellian building, where newly unearthed artefacts are carefully examined and documented.
It’s a rare chance to experience archaeology up close—perfect for history enthusiasts, families, and curious minds of all ages.
