2 Day Make a Green Wood Stool
4-5 July. A two-day course where you will learn key green woodworking skills and make a stool to take home with you.
- Booking essential
This two day course will teach you the fundamentals of green woodworking. Using a selection of hand tools including knives, axes, spokeshaves and drawknives, you'll create a wooden stool to take home.
This course is best suited to those who have some woodworking experience.
Your tutor for this course is Rob Thorpe. Rob is a residential craftsperson at the Heritage and Rural Skills centre. He has been a green woodworker for 12 years, and also has 20 years of teaching experience, having run many green wood courses.
We keep class sizes small, to give all participants a chance to engage with the tutor and learn at their own pace.
All materials and tools required for the course will be provided. Make a Green Wood Stool is a two day course, running from 4 to 5 July, 10am-4pm on both Saturday and Sunday. There will be a break for lunch and a mess room to eat lunch in, alternatively there is an on-site café. Tea and coffee provided.
