An Introduction to Ornamental Lime Plastering

20 and 21 September: take your lime plastering skills to the next level with this practical introduction to ornamental styles, including running a cornice in-situ and forming external and internal mitres.

  • Booking essential

You will learn the basics of making a running mould, making a mould for original enrichment, and fibrous plaster basics. You'll be guided through the preparation of running a cornice in-situ, running a muffle coat/coring out, external and internal mitres, and making repairs to an existing cornice. You'll also learn how to take a silicone squeeze in-situ and preparation for a finishing coat.

This two-day course is ideal for people with plastering experience, and particularly working plasterers who are keen to expand their skill base.

Tutors Keith Langton, Sean Wheatley and Michal Wolf are Master Craftsmen of the Worshipful Company of Plaisterers, with many years of experience in traditional plastering techniques.

"It was interactive and well paced with lots of opportunity to ask questions." - course participant

Friday and Saturday 20 and 21 September, 9am-5pm Friday and 9am-4pm Saturday.
