21st March and 10 April: make a willow obelisk for your garden, ready for growing peas and beans in the summer.

Learn about the traditional craft of willow weaving. Spring is the perfect time to make one of these willow obelisks, ready for peas and beans to climb up in the summer. You'll go home with a fantastic, handmade addition to your garden.

No experience is required. This is a great course for beginners and experienced weavers alike.

Your tutor for this course is Suzy Williams of The Coppice Co. In 2018 Suzy won a place on the National Coppicing Apprenticeship Scheme, during which she learned vital skills and knowledge from seasoned coppice workers. Now she manages coppice woodlands alongside teaching and selling traditional woodland crafts.

Our class sizes are small, so you'll have a chance to engage with the tutor while you work.

Saturday 21st March and Friday10 April, 10am-1pm. Tea/coffee is provided.
