Forest Bathing Walk
Slow down, tune into your senses and discover the restorative power of Forest Bathing among the trees.
- Booking essential
Combining the accepted therapeutic effects of time spent in nature with mindfulness, Forest Bathing originated in Japan in the early 1980s but reflects a more ancient and global way of relating to the natural world.
Guided by Karen from Better Outdoors, you’ll use all your senses to absorb the experience. The practice aims to support health and wellbeing through connection to nature and trees and has been shown to reduce stress and restore calm. Forest Bathing invites you to: • Become fully present in the moment, in your body and your senses • Connect with yourself, others and nature • Switch off from the demands of technology and the busy-ness of everyday life
Most of the walk will be spent in silence as a series of invitations prompt you into a deeper engagement with the natural world. There will be opportunities for group sharing before finishing with a wild tea ceremony.
You can expect to leave feeling calmer, lighter and more relaxed than when you arrived.
