Celebrate the magic of the season at Christmas at Calke Abbey. Wander through twinkling tunnels and festive fairs in the Riding School, open 11am–6.30pm, and explore seasonal stalls while enjoying treats.
The House is open 11am–3.30pm to admire beautiful Christmas decorations, bringing festive cheer to every room. Step inside and follow our specially selected Christmas route through the Entrance Hall, Saloon, Breakfast Room, Dining Room and Butler’s Pantry. Enjoy wandering from room to room and delight in displays of colourful feathers, antlers on Christmas trees and lots of twinkly lights.
From 4–6.30pm, the Pleasure Grounds sparkle with festive lights, creating a magical evening atmosphere. With lights, music, rides, treats, and seasonal surprises throughout the estate, there’s something to delight the whole family.

Paths around the Stableyards and Pleasure Groups are a mixture of compacted gravel and textured tarmac. There are four slopes on the light trail, and one of these slopes also leads to the House. A buggy service is available 10am-2pm. Please see our accessibility article for more information.

Dogs are welcome on short leads around the Stableyards, Riding School and Pleasure Grounds. Assistance dogs only in the House and Tunnels.
