Uncover a brief overview of Hardwick Hall’s intriguing past with our fully accessible guided group walk through the Stableyard, gardens, the Old Hall and Hardwick Hall grounds.

With easy to navigate paved pathways, embark on an insightful journey with other likeminded individuals - don’t forget to take plenty of photos along the way!

Rest & refreshments: There is a café to purchase refreshments in the Stableyard and benches along the route to rest if required. Toilets are located at the Stableyard at the start and end of the trail. There are also some located at the half way point, there are down some steps.

Please note you will have free access to the grounds as part of the walk but will not be able to enter the Old Hall or Hardwick Hall without purchasing an admissions ticket at the visitor centre/or with your membership pass.

Meeting point

Please meet at the Visitor Reception Building, this is located in the Stableyard. Car parking is available in the main visitor car park.

What to bring and wear

Please bring suitable clothing for the Great British weather such as a sun hat/ suncream if it's hot and a waterproof if it rains. Make sure to wear suitable footwear and bring your own water.

Accessibility

The trail is along established footpaths and will include some cobbled pathways, loose ground and muddy sections. This trail is suitable for all, including wheelchair users and people with push chairs.

No dogs. Please note there are road crossings and moving vehicles along this route.
