This February half term, drop in to the National Trust information barn at Milldale to meet our team of guides based in Dovedale. Explore the fascinating birdlife of the White Peak, learn how to spot some of the area’s most iconic species, and share your sightings on our community spotter’s board. Whether you’re a seasoned birdwatcher or just curious about the creatures flitting through the dales, our team will be on hand with tips and facts to help you make the most of your visit. A perfect stop‑off during a winter walk through this beautiful part of the Peak District.

Wrap up warm, these February days can still get chilly and we'll be set up outside looking for birds.

Accessibility

The path into the barn and the sounding area is flat, however we may walk over Viator bridge to see further down the river.
