Join our friendly guides on a short walk to some of Longshaw's fascinating archaeological features. Discover Longshaw's story from the Iron Age to the present day, including evidence of Medieval farming and the Victorian technology which forms some of Longshaw's most iconic features today.
2 miles/3km, no steps or stiles. There will be plenty of stops to look at features.

Event is aimed at adults, but accompanied children over 8 years old are welcome
- Meeting point
Meet at the Welcome Building, adjacent to Woodcroft car park. The walk will finish at Longshaw Café.
- What to bring and wear
Wear sturdy outdoor shoes and outdoor clothing suitable for the weather.
- Accessibility
The route is about 2 miles/3km, with no steps or stiles. There are some gradual inclines and rocky areas of the path.
- Other
Dogs on short leads are welcome. Please note, dogs must be kept on leads for the duration of the walk.
