February Half-Term - Bird Box Detectives Trail

Grab your detective hat and your binoculars! It's time to explore Longshaw and solve the puzzles to discover the beautiful birds that live here.

  • Booking not needed

Grab your binoculars (or just your eagle eyes!) and get ready for a feather-filled adventure. Hidden around Longshaw are 6 secret bird boxes – and it’s your job to find them! Each box has a clue about the amazing bird that calls it home. Can you spot the bird with a heart-shaped face who loves hunting at bedtime? Or the tiny traveller who flies all the way from Africa just to nest here?

The talented Peak District ranger teams often help the birds on our sites by building homes for them to nest in. Lift the lids to hear their calls, solve the puzzles, and tick off each bird as you go. It’s a treasure hunt – but with more feathers!

Are you ready to spread your wings and explore? Come along this February half-term and see how many bird boxes you can discover. Nature needs detectives like YOU!

Pick up your trail sheet from the Welcome Building for £3 to start your adventure and make sure to claim your prize at the end!
