Young Makers Summer Workshop
Discover the skills and creativity that helped shape the Ironbridge Gorge during the Industrial Revolution through two fun, family-friendly activities.
Create Your Own Print Try your hand at traditional etching techniques to design and print your very own picture. Create an original masterpiece or choose from one of our specially designed images inspired by the Coalbrookdale collection. You'll take home your unique print as a souvenir of your day.
Make a Real Brick Step back in time and experience what life was like for young workers in the Gorge's historic brickworks. Using traditional tools and techniques, you'll mould and make your own brick, just as children would have done over 200 years ago.
Did you know that during the Industrial Revolution there were more brickworks than blast furnaces in the Ironbridge Gorge? This workshop is a fantastic opportunity to discover an important part of the area's industrial heritage while getting creative and having fun.
