This activity is aimed at adults but older children are welcome.

Meeting point

Meeting point is at the Orientation Board at Compton Road lay by car park DY7 6DL. Walk will start promptly so please arrive 10 minutes before the start time.

What to bring and wear

Please ensure you wear sturdy footwear and sensible clothes (ideally layers and a waterproof) as the walk is across various natural countryside terrains.

There is a lot a of walking and it can be steep in some parts. It is unsuitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. As it is a group walk and the rangers will be talking & sharing info we recommend that dogs do not attend as they can be very distracting. However, if you do bring your dog we ask that they are well behaved and kept on a lead at all times during the walk.

Please bring plenty of water to drink and any other refreshments as there is nowhere to stop to purchase any refreshments. Allow 3 hours for the walk but this can vary as each walk can be different and there will be stops to discuss conservation work.
