Eating al fresco on a summer's day is one of life's great pleasures. If you're looking for a pretty spot to share your hamper of tasty treats with a loved-one, or somewhere the family can get together in the great outdoors, here are some great picnic locations with picturesque backdrops.

With picnic benches in the Orchard and Field of Play, there's some great spots to relax and enjoy your hamper of goodies at Attingham. Or just roll out your blanket on the Bee Lawn, front lawn in front of the mansion, or alongside the River Tern - the options for a perfect place to eat your packed lunch are plentiful.

There's picnic benches close to Park Farm as well as nearer the mansion. Or why not lay down your blanket closer to the river and enjoy pretty views across to the Arboretum?

Picnics are welcome anywhere in the gardens at Moseley Old Hall; there are some lovely picnic tables in the farmyard, or why not find a spot in the meadow? Our tea-room offers takeaway hot and cold drinks, snacks, cakes and bakes so don't worry if you forgot to pack a treat or two!
