There's plenty for visitors to enjoy this Christmas at Fyne Court. From wreath making workshops to a family woodland trail, discover how you can enjoy the festive season with us.

Christmas events and activities

Winter family trail: The tale of the Deer Mother

16 December - 1 January
10am - 3pm

Explore Fyne Court's wintry woodland as you follow our trail around the gardens and discover the ancient story of the Deer Mother.

Have a go at the antler ring toss, create an advent spiral and make a solstice altar to celebrate the days getting lighter.

Then head into the warm of the Music Hall and make festive bookmarks and paperchains beside the Christmas trees.

Gingerbread decorating

16 - 23 December
10am - 12pm

Decorate a tasty gingerbread biscuit with icing and sprinkles – enjoy it straightaway or take it home with you.

Price: £2.50 (normal car parking charges apply). Booking not required.

Winter Stories in the Wild: Storytelling and writing workshop

20, 21, 27 & 28 December
10am - 11.30am & 12 - 1.30pm

Join a fun, story-generating workshop with Somerset children’s author Emma Bettridge and her dog Nell.

You'll go for a winter walk around the estate and then gather somewhere warm to write, draw and use dictaphones to record stories and ideas.

This is a relaxed, interesting and inspiring workshop for children aged 4-8 years. Feel free to bring your favourite winter tale for Emma to read at the end.

£10 per child.

Wreath making workshops

Sunday 3 December
10am - 1pm & 2 - 4pm

Join florist Jan Boddington from Blue Shed Flowers for a wreath making workshop in the festively-decorated Music Hall at Fyne Court. You’ll learn how to make a willow base and adorn it with garden gathered and foraged materials both fresh and dried.

There'll be an emphasis on individual creativity and the enjoyment of working with natural materials, as well as learning some of the techniques and approaches that you can apply to a range of floristry projects.

£40 per person.

Festive afternoon tea

29 November, 6 & 13 December
1pm

Join us in the Music Hall at Fyne Court and enjoy a festive afternoon tea freshly-made in our kitchens. The hall will be dressed for Christmas so you can relax beneath the twinkling fairy lights.

£20 per person.

Festive lunch

8 & 15 December
12.30pm

Join us in the Music Hall at Fyne Court for a festive feast. Enjoy three delicious courses plus a mince pie and a hot drink.
