Immerse yourself in Ickworth's servants' quarters as our team of costumed volunteers bring the world of the 1930s life. Chat to them about the highs and lows of working in ‘the big house’ and enjoy whole-family fun.

Visit the Rotunda's servants' quarters to see our costumed volunteers recreate the world of 1930s service. You can chat to the servants' about what it takes to keep the House running smoothly, learn about the daily routines, as well as what they get up to in their spare time!
The stories shared are all informed by Ickworth’s incredible archive of recordings that capture the memories of the staff who worked at Ickworth in the 1930s and 1940s.

Children are welcome.
- Meeting point
The costumed volunteers can be found in the servant’s quarters of the Rotunda. Entry to the Rotunda is through the main front door.
- What to bring and wear
The House can be cold so wear suitable clothing.
- Accessibility
There is a ramp available to enter the Rotunda, a lift is also available from inside to access the servant’s quarters. Manual wheelchairs available.
