Costume Interpretation
A chance to meet our team of costume volunteers. Watch as they bring the world of the 1930’s servants to life and chat to them about the highs and lows of working in ‘the big house’.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Visit the Rotunda's Servant’s Quarters to see our costume volunteers recreate the world of 1930's service. You can chat to the Servants about what it takes to keep the House running smoothly, learn about the daily routines, as well as what they get up to in their spare time! The stories shared are all informed by Ickworth’s incredible archive of recordings that capture the memories of the staff who worked at Ickworth in the 1930’s and 1940’s.
