The Collectors of Ickworth Exhibition

The desire to collect beautiful and fascinating things runs deep through the Hervey family's history. In this new exhibition, you can explore Ickworth’s treasures and the people who collected them.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

Our collection tells stories of power, travel, creativity, curiosity, and changing tastes. Over hundreds of years, the Hervey family filled Ickworth with beautiful, rare, and fascinating things. In this new exhibition, we're exploring Ickworth's remarkable collection alongside the people who created it. From Marie Antoinette's fan and Italian masters to centuries old books that pre-date the death of Henry VIII, the Hervey family had an eye for the exceptional.

Today, we safeguard these historic objects so they can continue to inspire future generations and spotlight the people who shaped Ickworth.
