A chance to spend the night on Orford Ness and then rise early to listen to the dawn chorus on the Suffolk Coast.

Come onto Orford Ness just as the general public are leaving and spend the night in our Basecamp accommodation. Rise early next morning for a walk with one of our rangers as we head out to hear the dawn chorus.

The basics
- Booking details
Call 0344 2491895 In the event of extreme weather or very bad light the event may be cancelled or rescheduled.
- Suitability
Not suitable for children.
- Meeting point
Meet on Orford Quay at 4.30pm for a ferry crossing at 5pm on Saturday. Return ferry on Sunday at 9.30am. Park in public pay and display car park (not NT).
- What to bring and wear
Bring food and bedding for your stay - a fully quipped, shared kitchen is available. Accommodation is in shared bunkhouse rooms. Dress for sudden weather changes. Wear good walking shoes.
- Accessibility
Includes ferry crossing - must be able to negotiate steep, and sometimes slippery, steps. Mostly made up paths, sometimes uneven.
