Head out on a family adventure this February half term with our Tree Tales trail at Claremont. Pick up a trail sheet and follow the clues to find some of our most well-loved trees, each with its own story to share. From ancient favourites to quirky characters, children will uncover fun facts, surprising secrets and the stories hidden among Claremont's branches and roots.
Perfect for curious explorers, the Tree Tales audio trail brings the garden's history to life while encouraging families to enjoy the beauty of the winter landscape. Wrap up warm and see which tree tales you'll discover.

This event is perfect for families, with clues aimed at primary-aged children.
- Meeting point
Pick up a leaflet from the Welcome Kiosk.
- What to bring and wear
This is an outdoor event so please dress suitably for the weather.
- Accessibility
This trail does not follow a set route, though some tree locations are in the north section of the garden that can only be accessed by a steep path. Some visitors may prefer to only visit trees around the lake, which is on a mostly level hoggin path.
