Heritage Open Day - Saturday

For one day only on Saturday 20 September, a gate between the two properties will be opened to celebrate Heritage Open Day, allowing guests to freely wander between the garden and the school grounds. Entry to Claremont Landscape Garden will be free of charge.

Visitors can explore the landscape garden with its extraordinary views, serpentine lake, grotto, and regency terrace. For this special occasion, areas usually closed to the public—including the grass amphitheatre and the Belvedere mount—will also be accessible.

At Claremont Fan Court School, guests will be invited to explore selected rooms of the historic mansion’s ground floor on a free-flow basis. Visitors can enjoy a self-guided tour exploring the mansion’s rich and varied history, complete with room guides and a children’s trail.

Parking will be available at both sites, with the gate between the two sites closing at 4:30pm.

Car parking at Claremont Fan Court School.will be available at the top car park via Portsmouth Road. Accessible parking in front of the mansion should be booked in advance by contacting alumni@claremont.surrey.sch.uk or calling 01372 467841.
